One of my all time favorite songs. I have a photo of when I was a boy blowing a bubble kids used to do (and mabe still), from a little bottle. And put it in a piece of art I made, a collage. Guess what the title of that art piece is???!!!
Album not on spotify. Most of their music isn't. Just A Letter from St Paul
Absolutely freaking awesome love the bass brings back the good tripping days❤❤❤❤❤
I remember when I got this for my 10th birthday in January, 1986 (a day after my 10th birthday on January 25) and I remember my dad buying me this as I was already on a Zeppelin quest as of July 1985 (seeing them on Live Aid made me a fan) and to my delight the double live album was spaced on two cassettes. Cassette one had Sides 1 and 3 and cassette two had Sides 2 and 4. I was surprised as I saw the movie on MTV a few months earlier and was surprised that Whole Lotta Love was longer on the album as was The Rain Song and Rock and Roll, No Quarter, Dazed and Confused and Moby Dick's solo were partially different on the album compared to the film. I have both the original 1976 remix and the 2007 remix (I enjoy the added tracks and the fact that The Rain Song was not edited on the album unlike the rest of the songs and also Heartbreaker and Dazed and Confused were in full but the edit on Whole Lotta Love was annoying but at least it was not like the Nick Davis remixes of the Genesis catalog nor the Jon Astley remixes of The Who catalog nor the Justin Shirley Smith/Joshua Macree remixes of the live Queen shows which compressed everything).
This is it, when was this made? I don't have the words..............BB (did he say train) (cry,n)
One of these days, boy Gonna see my baby Gonna see my baby Coming down the road She'll have my pardon Pardon in her apron, oh, Lord Gonna see the governor Who said release my man She's coming down the road, boy She's coming down the road Red dress on, yeah She's got her red dress on She's coming down the road, boy She's coming down the road Her bags down low She's got her bags down low One of these days, boy Gonna see my woman She'll have my children Children on her knee I'll run up to my woman And hold her in my arms Tears in her eyes She says I'm glad you're free
classic album, and a great opening song.
Wow at 124 seconds even the best funk bands can learn from them. Since this album came out I ran as a little boy to get this album wow grew up with the best band ever made by God all mighty. But had Jaco Pastoris Return to Forever and the Latino break dancing we thought all her ese pa Puerto Rico ese vatos locos forever champ 🏆
This whole album is my youth. Epic. I love at the end robert says new york good night.
Used to sit in my car after getting home in the early morning hours listening to this and The Who and.............................................................................. on the 8 track.
The intensity the drive the focus the tightness the perfection. Listen to Jones and Bonzo such a groove behind Jimmy's guitar work. The bass is sublime Plant and Page call back with that fucking theremin. This is so avant-garde and astonishing for 1973 then they bring it back to rock a billy of the 50s Elvis Eddie Cochran and the blues. What four men on this earth was able to accomplish this feat. Only the Led Zeppelin.....
Nice Truckin’ jam!
He was the best ever...saw Ten Years After twice and Alvin Solo once...omfg!!!! Memories until I die
Saw at the riot at Red Rocks 1973
La basse : Léo Lyons... J'etais au concert a Grenoble il y a quinzaine d'année, Alvin n'était plus de ce monde mais Léo, une energie de dingue 😜
*FUN FACT:* The title of this song was used for the title of the final episode of _ALF..._
This is the Greatest live performance ever recorded in 1973 by arguably the greatest Rock Band ever assembled, at MSG,one of the most iconic indoor venues.
Sorry, meant May 1980!
Totally agree. The first Genesis album I bought after seeing the In Concert film summer 1977 aged 16. They surpassed themselves and although I love all their earlier stuff this LP is the pinnacle for me. I only saw them live once, Duke tour, May 1989, Liverpool Empire. So regret missing the 76-77 live gigs
1973 e não 1976.
Who cares every one is entitled to their opinions
This was one of my first 8 track tapes to go in my Craig tape player with Alpine speakers. Still sounds awesome today.❤️❤️💯 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶👍
Listening to Ten Years After is like listening to the bizarre 'O world Lynard Skynard
Having an awesome night!!! 71 years old 2024
This song was performed in 1973, not 1976
Actually, this is 1973. The movie was put out in 76 but the performance is 1973 FYI.
this was the song that Alvin took to open his show in Vienna, Austria, in 1973 ...
But it is a cheap mp3. Best version, but unacceptable format. The hiss is overwhelming.
Been listening to this since 1976 and it never gets OLD..simply put,the best live band ever
The best band I’ve never seen.
smoked a million joints to this in the 70 s
This is the version of the song that is on the original vinyl from 1973. So great!
Yup. This is THE version I grew up with and fell in love with. Can't touch it.
ikr, don't like the remasters
2:12 ❤
Cool song, awesome guitarist
It's actually from TSRTS 73 Seen the Movie in theatres when released Had several Vinyls and Tapes back n the day Which I wore out Only 2 other times have I waited with feverish anticipation : Infinity War and End Game 😂
I OD'd on this album every day when I was a teenager. That riff at the very where they change keys every measure is mind-numbing.
Reckon Led Zeppelin copped a slice of this for No Quarter.
1973 !
Jashtoksor grupa ma e mir nē Botë Zeppelinat 👍🤘
many people think that the album was heavily corrected in the studio, because it sounds too perfect for a live performance. The same songs, in subsequent live shows, don't sound so good
Oh lord how heavy they were. After The Beatles, Zeppelin is the best rock n roll band of all.
We knew we danced we loved music 🎶❤
Getting stranger day by day
Yes sir. Incredible album.
❤
Exactly before the very genius that created it butchered the re-masters
Alvin Lee was so under rated, one of the greatest guitar players of all time!
Brilliant Alvin Lee RIP
This Original Version just DESTROYS any Competition that Zeppelin ever had. The Stones as the “Greatest Rock N Roll Band Ever?” Ummmm…. Sorry but NO YOU ARE NOT JPJ’s Heavy Bass thru out? Bonham’s bashing Drums & Symbols at the end of the song is a Metaphor of somebody CRUSHING a Beer Can with a Sledge Hammer into a Pancake! The Beer Can is The Rolling Stones or whoever else you want to put on the Table. Nobody ever came close to these 4 Musicians
